Coniston weekender
In October '25, working with Mark at Team Walking , we had the pleasure of guiding 25 people on various hikes around the Coniston fells and the surrounding valleys. I chose to stay at the local YHA, which I highly recommend, especially for the delicious fried breakfast in the morning. With the weather forecast predicting a mix of wind, frost, and rain, I opted for the comfort of the shared men's dorm instead of camping in a tent. On Saturday, I led a group on a 20km hike that

Lakes Adventure Weekend
In May '25, the outstanding charity Millimetres2Mountains invited me to help with an adventure weekend in Borrowdale. My role was to serve as a sighted guide for one of the beneficiaries, who I had previously assisted in climbing Helvelyn. "Smashing-it" in Scotland!
In September, I assisted a group of 20 individuals who united to hike up Ben Nevis and raise money in memory of our friend and colleague, Marty Stephens. The event, "Marty's Smash-It challenge," was fittingly named to honor Marty's zest for life and positive spirit. After reviewing the weather forecast two days prio

Kyrgyzstan
Back in August '25, it was a huge privilege to join Millimetres 2 Mountains on expedition to the Kyrgyzstan Tien Shan mountains as sighted guide for one of the charity beneficiaries. Exploring this remote, vast, and beautiful mountainous area for 2 weeks was an amazing experience. The highlight was to share this with a wonderful group of people, fully intent on living life to the max and facing any challenge with such positivity. Thank you to everyone involved in the trip
